Starting last month, students, alumni, and staff of Concordia College New York can purchase textbooks, clothing, gifts, school supplies, and books online at www.ccnybookstore.com.
"Our website has allowed us to provide students, alumni, parents and families with Concordia College and CPH products even though they can't make it in to the store,” said Rachel Woolery, manager of the bookstore. “We've even had some international sales! We're very excited to continue to develop the website, making it even more customer friendly."
As a service of Concordia Publishing House (CPH), the bookstore has updated the Website to add more products; plus, ordering textbooks online is more convenient than it was on the previous site. Students simply go to the Web site and select their classes from a drop-down menu, and then the site will tell them what they need for each class and they can make their purchases via a secure credit card transaction.
Easy-to-purchase textbooks aren’t the only handy benefit of the site either—it also boasts a much larger inventory that includes numerous sweatshirts, sweatpants, T-shirts, and hats, along with Concordia New York specific gifts such as water bottles, mugs, and key chains.
“Now Concordia New York students and supporters can choose online shopping as a realistic option,” said Loren Pawlitz, the bookstore’s marketing manager. “Whether you are in Bronxville or an alumnus living across the country, you can shop CPH.”
Concordia Publishing House, which was founded in 1869, is the official publisher for the Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod and is headquartered in St. Louis, MO. CPH operates eight bookstores in the United States, six of which are in the Concordia University System.
